If I haven't mentioned it, we are have a girl empowerment weekend and I am looking for some fun games to play and some interesting topics that would keep teen girls entertained. So far I will give a list of things that we have planned to do and go over, if you have any ideas or suggestions please help me.
SELF ESTEEM
(NO) SEX
HYGEINE
COLLEGE
GRADES
GOD (RELIGION)
FUTURE DREAMS
GAMES
WIN LOSE OR DRAW
POKENO (SOMETHING LIKE BINGO)
UNO
WE WILL ALSO JUST HAVE A OPEN FORUM SO THEY CAN ASK US QUESTIONS.
I have hired a girl that will come over to do their nails.. We have purchased some GC for a couple of different stores for prizes.

Sounds like a great weekend, Lakeiva!
Have these girls heard about scrapbooking?
I've always found that scrapbooking brings out some good self-esteem in young girls.....and it gives them an outlet for journaling and getting their feelings down on paper. _________________ ~ kathy ~

Back in the day...
When we would do 1st year retreats we would set up "Compliment Coupons."
Basically everyone got an envelope tacked to the wall. Little scraps of paper on a table in front of the wall. As your day/weekend whatever progresses people can fill out compliments anonomously and stick them in other people's envelopes.
Two things: 1. you have to make sure everyone gets a 'good' number of compliments - sometimes you have to stuff some poor kid's envelope. 2. We would always read to make sure that people actually wrote complimentary things so we could remove them if necessary.
Game: 2 and 1
Basically in a big circle - go around. Everyone tells two true things about themselves and one lie. This one is always fun! You find out very interesting things about your friends! _________________ 2008 Use Your Stash - No Buy Challenge Stats:

GREAT idea Lakeiva! Sooo important to keep our young ladies feeling good about themselves and the choices they make!!
How about Kareoke (sp) I think they would like that.
And how about a talent contest...you can set them up in groups and let them come up with what the "perform" _________________ 2008 No Buy Challenge Stats
